DATABASE INFORMATION UPDATE - ACTION REQUIRED
If you have not been actively involved in Unidos en Cristo since 1997 and you wish to remain on the mailing list for the Palanca Press. Your record will be inactivated and you will not receive mailings unless you contact us. Submit your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Tell us whether you want to receive paper mail or e-mail (arrives sooner, is in full color, saves money).

ACTION NEEDED! — Submit Contact Information as it Changes
Recent team recruiting has been faced with a new challenge. We have discovered that many of you have disconnected your land lines and are using your cell phone exclusively. We cannot contact you to serve on team if you do not submit a preferred phone number for us to use. This same challenge exists with e-mail. When you make a change (address, phone or e-mail), please let us know. Your contact information is used solely for UEC purposes.

ACTION NEEDED! — Clergy & Church Information It is becoming more difficult to recruit Spiritual Directors, not because they are unwilling to serve, but because contact information is outdated. If you are clergy and have recently moved, changed phone numbers or changed e-mail addresses, please submit these changes to us so that we can contact you.

All database information can be submitted to Betsie Mills at database@unidosencristo.com.

SouthCross Community Church - Stations of the Cross Meditation Path

SouthCross Community Church invites brothers and sisters of the 4th Day Community to walk our Meditation Path and Stations of the Cross. These are outdoor, easy, pathways that meander through a small wooded area. There are benches along the way to rest and pray. The Stations of the Cross path has 14 stations with pictures and a CD naration. Please click here for further information.

UEC Volunteer Opportunities

New Team Position — Rollo Room Technical Assistant

The new Rollo Room Technical Assistant position team manual is nearly complete.  We are now looking for people interested in filling this role on a future team.  Comfort with computers and basic knowledge of PowerPoint are needed. Basic comfort with hardware such as sound systems, microphones, projectors, computer hardware and software will be helpful. This position is responsible for helping the Rollistas prepare their PowerPoint presentation and run them if desired, helping with sound in the Rollo Room, working with the musicians to put up PowerPoint slides for the music, running the projector and sound system. If this is something you would be interested in doing in the future and you feel you have the skills, we would like to mark your record in the database accordingly, just as we do for musicians. The list of those interested will be made available to Rectors and Rectoras as they begin to form their teams. Contact Kathy Walker.

Do you have accounting knowledge?

UEC is in need of a couple of people with accounting knowledge to perform simple internal audits at the end of each Council year. If this is something you can help with, please contact Teresa VanBatavia.

Help Clean Up and Update Team Manuals

We have already completed revisions for the Spiritual Director and Kitchen Manuals. We are ready to move forward with the Palanca, 4th Day, Rector/Rectora and Musician Manuals. If you have served on Leadership on one of these teams and would be willing to help update the manual for that team, please contact Kathy Walker.

Hauling Supply Trailers for UEC Weekends

If you have a heavy duty truck, are available before and after most UEC weekends and would like to help haul the two supplies trailors to and from weekends, please contact Rich Carlson.

UEC Speakers Bureau & Pulpit Supply

The UEC Council would like to form two lists of people. The first is a list of experienced UEC 4th Dayers willing to be available to go to prospective and new UEC churches and give a presentation to the staff and/or the church about UEC. We will provide materials and guidelines. This might include showing the five minute DVD presentation and being available to answer questions afterwards. The second list we would like to form is a list of ordained clergy willing to fill in at new UEC churches during the weekend when their clergy attend a UEC weekend. To be added to either list, please contact Kathy Walker.

Flower Arrangers Needed

In the 4th Day Team manual, we have a list of "flower arrangers" - people from the 4th Day Community that have the skill and willingness to arrange the flowers on the Agape Dinner cross. Our list is very outdated and dwindling. If you are skilled at flower arranging and willing to use your talent for UEC, please contact Teresa Van Batavia.
